We do not currently use the App to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell personal data to advertisers.

3.3 Information from other players in your club

Captains and teammates may enter your name on a roster, include you in polls (in shared-club versions), or record your match stats. That club-context data is visible to other members according to role permissions in the App.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  1. Provide and improve App features (polls, booking, lineup, stats, badges, kit, dues tracking, menu content).
  2. Authenticate you and secure accounts.
  3. Sync or back up your profile when cloud backup is enabled and you are signed in.
  4. Send notifications you have allowed (polls, booking, dues).
  5. Respond to support requests.
  6. Enforce the Terms, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with law.
  7. Prepare store listings and required safety disclosures.

Suggested Lineup does not use dues or payment status.

5. Where data is stored

5.1 On your phone (local)

Much club data today is stored on the device (for example SharedPreferences and local files), including profile details, polls, expenses, kit items, and photos saved to the app documents folder.

If you lose the phone or uninstall without backup, local data may be lost.

5.2 Cloud (when signed in)

When enabled, the App may upload a profile backup to Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore under your signed-in user (for example a document associated with your user ID).

Full multi-phone shared club sync (every teammate seeing the same live squad and dues on their own phones) is a planned expansion. Until that ships, do not assume other phones automatically have your club’s full data.

5.3 Location of processing

Google Firebase and related services may process data in Google’s infrastructure (including outside India). By using cloud features, you understand that data may be transferred to and processed in other countries with different data-protection rules, subject to Google’s terms and safeguards.

6. How we share information

We share information only as follows:

6.1 Within your club

Team members and role-holders see data needed for club operation (names, replies, dues claims as shown in the App, stats, and similar). Captains and treasurers see more administrative data.

6.2 Service providers

We use processors such as:

They process data on our instructions or as independent controllers for their auth products (for example Google Sign-In).

6.3 Sharing you initiate

If you use Share (invite link, dues list, booking message, motivation text), the content leaves the App into the app you choose (WhatsApp and similar). That is under their privacy policy.

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

6.5 Business transfer

If WicketSide is sold or merged, user data may transfer to the successor under continued privacy protections.

We do not sell your personal information.

7. Payments and financial data

Treat payment references as sensitive club data. Captains and treasurers should not export or share dues lists beyond club need.

8. Photos and media

Profile and trophy photos are stored locally (and may be included in cloud backup if that backup contains those fields or paths). Do not upload images of others without permission. We may remove media that violates our Terms.

9. Children

The App is aimed at adult club organisers and players. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or under 18 where a higher age applies for consent) for marketing. If you believe a child’s data was submitted inappropriately, contact support@wicketside.app and we will take reasonable steps to delete cloud-held data we control.

10. Retention

We keep information:

After account deletion requests, we delete or anonymise cloud profile backups we control within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for unresolved disputes. Local copies on other members’ devices (once multi-device sync exists) may remain until those users refresh or delete data — club admins should coordinate cleanup.

11. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law (including Indian law), you may have rights to:

India: You may contact us to review, correct, or withdraw consent for sensitive personal data we process, subject to legal exceptions.

To exercise rights: email support@wicketside.app with the email or phone linked to your account. We may need to verify your identity.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to a small club app (authenticated APIs, device OS protections, limited role-based screens).

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for device lock screens and for not sharing captain or treasurer access.

13. Notifications and marketing

Transactional and club operational notices (polls, booking, dues) are part of the product.

We do not currently send third-party marketing spam. If we ever introduce optional marketing emails, we will ask for consent where required and provide an unsubscribe path.

The App may contain links or SDK calls to Google and other providers. Their privacy policies govern their services. See also the Google Privacy Policy.

15. International users

The App is built primarily for cricket clubs in India. If you use it from another country, you consent to processing in India and in locations where our processors operate.

16. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. We will change the Last updated date and, for material changes, provide in-App notice or other reasonable notice. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.

17. Grievance contact (India)

For privacy grievances under applicable Indian rules:

Email: support@wicketside.app

We will acknowledge and aim to resolve complaints within timelines required by law where applicable.

If a named Grievance Officer is required for your launch entity, publish that name and contact here before store release.
